The SRWA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization with a mission to protect, restore, and enjoy the Shawsheen River and its watershed.
We host a wide range of events all year round.
River Cleanups
We have literally removed thousands of tires from the river since March 2002 when we started counting. We continue to remove pallets, lumber, bottles, and other trash from the river.
Canoe Trips
We canoe 12 months of the year. If you are interested in canoeing the Shawsheen, please contact us to learn about our
regular public paddles and other events. We can usually lend all necessary gear at no cost.
Meetings
We hold monthly meetings to discuss current issues and upcoming events. Meetings are open to the general public.
Special Events
We regularly host special events open to the public.
These include:
* Paddle and safety demos.
* Presentations on wildlife, such as coyotes, owls, and beaver.
* Events hosted for Scouts, school groups, companies, and other organizations.
Get outside, get involved, have fun!!!
